ultimo intimo is a cross-disciplinary studio founded by berlin-born designer charlotte kammerer in 2024. rooted in berlin’s vibrant culture and avant-garde spirit, the studio combines product and furniture design with immersive installations and spatial concepts, creating work that merges sensory experience with storytelling. the studio is currently based in eindhoven (netherlands).
drawing inspiration from the fashion world and incorporating her musical background, kammerer (b. 1994) expresses her vision through a blend of form, material, atmosphere, and sound. her work explores the human experience, examining what it feels like to be alive today, always through the lens of contemporary culture and with emotional depth.
at the heart of ultimo intimo lies the concept of 'object intimacy,' which delves into the bond between people and the objects they choose to surround themselves with. kammerer believes these objects serve as extensions of identity and personal expression; when cherished, they transcend functionality to become meaningful artifacts.
in a world dominated by disposable culture, ultimo intimo is dedicated to restoring significance and dignity to everyday objects, infusing them with character and emotional resonance. this approach ensures these objects are not only valued today but loved and cared for by future generations.
