cave wall, as part of ultimo intimo’s second furniture collection named TRÜMMER, was unveiled during dutch design week 2025.

MEMORIAE IN SAXO SCRIPTAE
memories written in stone

traces of a life once lived,
forevere carved in stone.

the rock remembers when all else is gone –
a shrine of eternal memories.

cave wall is the third and final piece of TRÜMMER. it marks the place reached after collapse, after remembering, after mourning what was lost. this is the final act of letting go, so that one may embrace the new. it is a shrine of memories, not grieving the past, but cherishing it with warmth and gratitude. because nothing that has truly mattered ever disappears. it remains, carried within us, living on as memory. this final work closes TRÜMMER with quiet hope. memory becomes a refuge rather than a wound, giving us the courage to step out of the darkness of the dark night of the soul and into the first, gentle light of dawn – the beginning of the next chapter of METAMORPHOSIS: AURORA. stay tuned.
